On Tuesday, the first trailer for Columbia Pictures‘ Bad Boys: Ride or Die was unveiled. For the fourth installment of the Bad Boys Series, Marcus (Martin Lawrence) and Mike (Will Smith) are back in Miami.
Many people never gave the buddy cop duo another consideration after Bad Boys 2 in 2003, but Bad Boys For Life in 2020 rekindled interest and earned $426.5 million globally, making it the third-highest-grossing January release ever.
This is going to be Will Smith’s first big movie since he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, and it’s the first movie that directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have directed since Batgirl, which was discarded and put in the garbage for tax reasons amid a corporate merger last year. Adil & Bilall return to direct Ride or Die, however we will see if fan reception is as high as in 2020 coming off of a 17 year hiatus for the franchise.
