Currently assembling one of the largest celebrity lineups in recent memory is Noah Baumbach. It was revealed in December that director Noah Baumbach would be producing an additional Netflix original film starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler. Later on, we learned that Riley Keough, Laura Dern, and Billy Crudup were all involved in the movie as well. Yesterday, we received a lengthy list of new performers.
The list includes his wife, Greta Gerwig, fresh off the heels of an Oscar winning film, Barbie; Jim Broadbent; Jamie Demetriou; Lars Eidnger; Grace Edwards; Patsy Ferran; Isla Fisher; Thaddea Graham; Josh Hamilton; Eve Hewson; Stacy Keach; Nicôle Lecky; Emily Mortimer; Louis Partridge; Charlie Rowe; and Patrick Wilson.
All we know about the movie is that it’s a moving and humorous coming-of-age story about adults. It will be interesting to see whether Baumbach can manage a cast of such size and star power. Following 2019’s Marriage Story, 2017’s The Meyerowitz Stories, and 2022’s White Noise, this is the filmmaker’s fourth feature film with Netflix.
In March 2024, production got underway, dividing time between New York City and London. The World of Reel claimed that the movie’s supposed title was Jay Kelly.
