The Batman 2 will now be released on October 2, 2026, one year later than the originally stated October 2025 release date. According to The Wrap, the delay was “caused by stalled script development during the 2023 Hollywood strikes.” Warner Bros. Discovery is not the first to announce a blockbuster pushback, they themselves had to push Dune: Part Two back from the fall of 2023 to the spring of 2024. Discovery revealed that The Bride!, a horror picture directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Christian Bale and Penélope Cruz, will be stealing The Batman 2’s October 2025 slot. The August 8, 2025, release date for Paul Thomas Anderson’s untitled picture has been set, while Barry Levinson’s Alto Nights will now take place on March 21, 2025.
